Hi Crafty Hands!

In March 2018, Threads & Buttons opened up a booth for the first time!

Looking up into the blue night sky on one fine night, in the midst of Cipendawa (a small village in Puncak), I decided to take on the challenge of opening up a booth at Lemari Buku Buku Festival. The challenge was because I had a mere 2 weeks for embroidery production, booth design and packaging design. Keeping in mind, I had to do all of this by myself.

So in the end I choose a product that I felt comfortable designing and producing: Tote Bags!

I created 13"inch tote bags because that's a problem I face with all my other tote bags, is that it never fits my laptop fully. I then applied a patching technique that includes my embroidery, painted canvas scrap bits, ribbons and buttons.

In total, I created 15 tote bags. Each tote bag has a unique design, I don't replicate the designs so it's one of a kind! Each embroidery tells a really personal story of mine which I illustrated in the card that you will receive when you purchase the tote bag.

This was a really great experience because I got the chance to meet and interact with other passionate artists trying to perfect their craft by taking note of every single detail.
